Last Friday we went to Alex's parents house. Alex lives in the Forest of Dean which is this tiny town, in the middle of no where. It took us 35 minutes to drive to her ranch house where we spent the weekend with her 4 cats, 2 dogs, 3 horses, and a dozen chickens and roosters. To say the least it was amazingly SUNNY and also amazingly AMAZING ..!
Alex, Theresa, Mari, and I, rode horses, hung out with her parents/neighbors, wrestled with her dogs, groomed her horses, ate chips all afternoon, and passed out in the sun.
Alex is the Rory in Gilmore Girls in this town ..she knows every single person, family, shopkeeper, pub owner, child, senior citizen, young adult, EVERYONE, and everyone knows her ..Her mom and her are also best friends and have this amazing relationship .
We ate the most delicious and cheapest meal I've had since being in the UK at The Butchers Arms, the old pub [probably the only pub] Alex works at over the weekends and later danced with old men and women to old music till the wee hours of the morning. So classic and simple and so fun. And so short! :/ Saturday morning, we sipped coffee in town along this random river before taking the train ride back already to Cardiff.
